If your expectation is for the jacks to travel to the ground and give you stability while camping, then scissors jacks can help. If you expect them to level the camper, scissor jacks will not do so. The frame on a motorhome is very narrow compared to travel trailers based on having two sets of two wheels that narrow the frame. Mounting jacks to that narrow frame will put the jacks close to the centerline of the motorhome which does not offer any leveling capacity. The suspension system on a motorized RV is too stiff to gain any lift out of a manual jack such as a scissors. The heavy weight of a motorized RV (gas tank, engine, transmission, heavier frame and axles, etc.) make it much more difficult to level than a conventional travel trailer.

The best option for leveling motorized RVs is hydraulic jacks which are expensive

GROUND CLEARANCE

Most motorhomes have low ground clearance at the rear which creates a drag issue with an extra 4.5 inches of jack mounted below. A scissors needs to travel at least half way of its overall length to gain any lifting capacity. Our shortest jack is 24″ so it would need to travel 12″ minimum.  If you have that ground clearance, great! If you are looking for only stabilization, the 24002D Deluxe 24″ Scissors Jack are the best option. There are two jacks in the box with manual handle and mounting hardware.  If a dealer needs the complete jack replaced, they can use a 24009 and just remove the top bracket.
